Point Defiance Pagoda Wedding in Tacoma, Washington

I booked with Sophy only a few weeks before her wedding and I am so happy she called. She was in the process of moving from Miami and her Fiance was an international pilot from Washington State, it was clear they both had very busy lives but they were able to meet in person a few days before the wedding shortly after landing at Sea-tac. We met up nearby where we went over details of the day and I got to know Rick and Sophy as a couple. They hadn’t seen each other in weeks and it was clear how much they missed each other. It was also clear how exhausted they were after a long day of travel so the meeting was short and sweet but I was looking forward to getting to know them better.
The wedding day started off at Rick and Sophy’s house where they had their first toast to kick things off. They finished getting ready at the Point Defiance Pagoda where the ceremony and reception were held in Tacoma overlooking the water. Everything went according to plan thanks to Callie from Holcomb weddings, I was able to get all the shots I needed thanks to photographer Mike Hitchner who was a true professional and an absolute pleasure to work beside, and the music was unforgettable as DeeJay Daron kept the party going well into the night, even after an impeccable performance by The Locals 253 covering “Bohemian Rhapsody”. Congratulations Rick and Sophy!
